Greece Sightseeing & Land Tours
Athens Semi-Private Minibus Tour (Up to 6 Passengers)
Enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the city’s principal modern and
classical sights. This tour includes an overview of the modern city and striking
contrasts to the remains of its glorious past. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown
Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian
Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896). See vistas of
the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings and elegant
homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the
Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square. In contrast, we visit
the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus, the crowning beauty and glory that was
Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including
the stunning Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the
Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. After your 30 min visit at Acropolis for
photos of the Athens view your escort will guide you to our vehicle to drive you
across the city for a visit at the Floisvou Harbour, on the shores of the Aegean,
of the most elegant places in Athens. There, you will visit the 1912 battleship,
the M/S Averoff and an ancient replica of a Hellenic Trireme. Finish up your tour
with a walk along the boardwalk to take in the daily rhythm of Athenian life.
Athens Walking Tour
The tour begins inside your hotel lobby or Syntagma metro station where your
guide will show you the very interesting archaeological exhibits that were discovered
during the construction of the metro. You will then continue on to the
house of the Greek parliament, the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and watch
the changing of the guards. Walking through Syntagma Square, you will
pass by the National Gardens and the Sotira of Likodimos Byzantine church.

did, every day, some 2500 years ago. The trail leads you past historical sites
such as the Jewish Museum, Zeus's Temple, Hadrian's Arch and Lysicrates
Monument. After a ten-minute walk up the beautiful pedestrian walkway
you will reach the majestic Acropolis with its spectacular views over the city
below. A detailed visit of the Acropolis follows. Return to your hotel by foot.
